Biography

Peace is all she wanted.
After a long and painful process in the Recording Industry, Arlene found her true Happiness. In the beginning her happiness was based on people, places and things. When she hit bottom and found herself at the end of the road her cry to GOD was heard. The Lord used special people in her life to help her leave the past behind.

Arlene is well known throughout the world since 1985 from the group Leather & Lace. She was in the Top 10 Dance Hits with the songs “Tender Heart”, “We Can Work It Out” and “Why You Wanna Hurt Me”.

She has Opened and Performed with Top Artists like Gloria Estefan,Jocelyn Brown, Tito Allen and many Freestyle Artists. She has work with Producers such as Tommy Musto, E. Smooth, 20 Fingers. David Sanchez and Carlos Berrios to name a few. Through her travel and work around the world she now come out of thainstream/Secular, five years later into the Gospel as a singer/songwriter, she had established her written/publishing Company, He Allowed Music.

In 1997 & 1998. She has ministered in many churches throughout the Tri-State Area.

On Sept 4-7 of 1997 she was involved in the drama “Run, Baby Run” The Adaptation of Nicky Cruz which 10.000 attended in Dec-26-27 “Rooftop”. July 99-Sept.99, Run Baby run tour.And this years 5 city tour.

Now this year 2000. She just recently recorded a duet song with Mrs.Chrissy I-eece called “Amiga” a Estilo Libre (Latin Freestyle) song.This song will be on the compilation EL SHOW DE FREDDY LOPEZ “Estilo Libre 2” Lluvia De Estrellas on E.L.I. RECORDS.
