In the world of Latin dance music one person has been hard at work making a name for
himself. In every music magazine, Latin newspapers and even television his name seems to
pop up. Tito Puente Jr. the son of the Legendary Salsa, Latin Jazz musician is now
becoming a legend of his own. His dynamic show presence as well as great personality will
make him one of the most loved Latin artists of our time. FM.C How did you get started in the Music business? T.P. Well I have always loved dance music and Latin music as well. Being brought up in a household with music playing all the time, I got alot of different influences. |
FM.C You are a busy man, tell us about your daily routine.
T.P. Well my days are different all the time. I check out distributors and check record stores on new releases, sometimes I will take a break and cool off in the room, but I am always on top of my game everyday.
| FM.C You have been all over Miami ,
week after week, you've done shows, been in magazines, newspapers, and radio, how do you
keep up? T.P. VITAMINS help alot, but I think it is just natural for me to keep up with the entertainment industry. My life is usually at night. For that's when I can really see how music is doing in clubs and concerts. |

FM.C Your father Tito Puente "The Legend" was he an advantage or disadvantage to your career?
T.P. Very positive, but there will always be people who don't understand what I do. It's up to me to teach them about Latin dance.
FM.C Do you have any brothers or sisters and are they in the music business?
T.P. I have a brother in new York and a sister in Mississippi studying meteorology at her college.

FM.C Are you planning to do anything in Freestyle? T.P. Yes I do. I love Freestyle that is my first love. I produce Freestyle music and I will be doing a new Freestyle song in the near future, I will keep you informed!

FM.C If you would put a group together for one night , who would you choose to be part of the group?
T.P. That's very hard to answer because there are so many artists I would love to work with even for one song.
FM.C Where was your biggest show? Tell us how it felt when you were on stage?
T.P. It was at Canada Wonderland park with over 30,000 people. It was very exciting.
| FM.C In Miami there is so many new
artist on the rise, how do you manage to be on top of things? T.P. I try to be an innovator with my music. Very different. FM.C What would you like to achieve as an artist? T.P. I would like for people to understand Latin dance music a little better. And have an understanding for Latin music in general. |

FM.C How do you prepare yourself?
T.P. I always pray to the almighty father above. I also work out with the Nasty Boys (my dancers).
FM.C Where are some of the places you have performed at?
T.P. Mexico, Central America, South America, Canada, all over the USA. There have been so many people I have met over the years.
FM.C Where are your best crowds?
T.P. I love New York and Miami the best because it is where I am from and where I live. It's nice too see my home crowd cheering us on.

FM.C Tell us about your album, what is it about? T.P. The album is called "SIENTELO (feel it)" And it has some great producers on it like A.B.Quintanilla and Larry Davis. 10 TRACKS FM.C What would you like to say to your fans? |
T.P. I WOULD LIKE TO TELL ALL MY FANS OUT THERE THAT I will be putting out a Freestyle song out real soon and to look out for my new CD hitting the stores this Nov on the LA CASA records label. God bless all of you..........
