Well friends are you ready for the last issue for the year 2000? What a great year it's been. We have experienced a rise of the genre through independent labels and their continued efforts in releasing top quality material. In addition we have also seen positive steps towards artists development. The industry has slowly been opening the doors for the Freestyle music artists, and it's all been due to the overwhelming support from the community. The Freestyle music genre has always contained strong support from it's people, and this will always be the key for it's success. We are starting to see well established groups re-unite like TKA, and have seen the Latin explosion of Freestyle legends (Safire, George Lamond, India, etc.) rise to the top of the Latin charts, making the Latin Hiphop movement a strong force in the new millenium.

A True Freestyle Legend Celebrates Twenty Years in The Music Business

On Oct. 8th in New York City the best Freestyle Concert of the new millenium took place. Freestyle Fever 2000 was the party to celebrate 20 years in the business for one of "the true innovators behind the Latin Hiphop phenomenon", Sal Abbatiello. It was a night full of Freestyle Legends, TKA, Cynthia, Judy Torres, Nayobe, Safire, Angel Clivilles, Cover Girls, Coro, Seduction, Tony Moran, Albert Cabrera, Lil' Suzy, Willy from "& More" and many more stars. A new comer to the Freestyle genre is recording artist Jesika breaking in with her new hit track "Tonight", produced by Chris "The Greek" Panaghi. This is the first cut from her upcoming album on Phat Cat Records called "Jesika with a K". "Tonight" is a very tight produced track with phat dance grooves and Freestyle pumping beats. In addition, Jesika's dynamic vocal performance is very hot !!! This song has mainstream top ten potential written all over it.
